The New Orleans Saints held off a furious fourth-quarter rally by the Dallas Cowboys, securing a narrow 27-24 victory. After building a commanding lead through three quarters, New Orleans watched Dallas erase a 15-point deficit before Daniel Carlson delivered the game-winning field goal.

The Saints established an early advantage as Daniel Carlson put New Orleans on the board first with a 38-yard field goal. Brandon Aubrey quickly answered for Dallas with a 49-yarder, but Barion Brown then rushed for a 7-yard touchdown, giving the Saints a 10-3 lead in the first quarter. Aubrey's 51-yard field goal in the second quarter chipped away at the deficit, though Spencer Rattler extended New Orleans' lead with an 8-yard rush. Another long field goal from Aubrey, this time from 58 yards, brought the score to 17-9 at halftime. Zamir White's 11-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter further widened the gap for the Saints, pushing their lead to 24-9.

The Cowboys, however, refused to yield, unleashing a dominant offensive display in the fourth quarter. Sam Howell orchestrated a stunning comeback, first connecting with Jordan Hudson for a 26-yard touchdown pass. Howell then found Mitch Van Vooren for a 21-yard score, followed by his own two-point conversion run, which remarkably tied the game at 24. Despite Dallas's explosive final period, New Orleans managed to regain composure, setting up Carlson's decisive 53-yard field goal that sealed the win.

Ultimately, the Saints' ability to withstand Dallas's late surge and execute a game-winning drive proved the difference, preventing a complete collapse. New Orleans improves to 1-2, while the Cowboys fall to 2-1.
