Game Recap
The Houston Astros secured a narrow 5-4 victory over the Miami Marlins, with a decisive three-run sixth inning proving to be the difference. Houston's offense, led by key contributions from Walker Janek, pushed ahead and held off Miami's efforts to complete a comeback.
The game remained tightly contested through the early frames before the Astros broke through in the sixth. This concentrated scoring effort allowed Houston to establish a lead that the Marlins, despite their best efforts, could not fully erase. Walker Janek was instrumental in the Astros' offensive production, hitting a home run and collecting two runs batted in during the contest.
Houston's pivotal three-run sixth inning ultimately swung the game's outcome. While Miami's bullpen kept the game within reach, notably with Chris Paddack delivering three scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts, the Marlins' bats could not generate a rally to match Houston's mid-game surge. Paddack's performance prevented the Astros from expanding their lead, yet the damage had already been done.
The Astros' ability to capitalize with a focused offensive burst in the middle innings proved to be the key to their one-run triumph. They now hold an even 64-62 record, matching the Marlins' updated 64-62 mark for the season.
