The Milwaukee Brewers overcame an early deficit, methodically chipping away at the Minnesota Twins' lead before securing a late-game advantage. Despite Minnesota's three-run second inning, Milwaukee responded by tying the game and then pushing across the decisive run in the eighth.

The Brewers drew first blood in the opening frame when Contreras was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, bringing Turang home. Minnesota quickly answered in the top of the second. Jeffers drew a walk that scored Keaschall, then Lewis doubled to left field, driving in Culpepper and Martin to give the Twins a 3-1 lead. Milwaukee responded in the fourth, as Turang singled to right field, scoring Vaughn and Yelich to knot the game at three apiece.

While Minnesota's three-run second inning represented the largest single scoring outburst of the game, Milwaukee's ability to immediately answer back and eventually take the lead proved pivotal. Brice Turang was instrumental in the Brewers' comeback, collecting three hits and two RBIs, including the game-tying single in the fourth. The Brewers' consistent pressure culminated in the bottom of the eighth when Vaughn singled to right, scoring Lockridge and breaking the 3-3 deadlock. Taj Bradley of the Twins delivered a strong five innings, striking out seven, but ultimately surrendered three runs as the Brewers found ways to get on the board.

Milwaukee's persistence and timely hitting ultimately allowed them to prevail, as they negated an early Twins lead and seized control late in the contest. The Brewers improved their record to 73-44, while the Twins fell to 58-60.
