San Francisco's crucial rally in the eighth inning, bringing home four runs, proved to be the turning point that solidified their advantage. Giants outfielder Christian Koss played a significant role in his team's offensive success, contributing two hits, including a home run, driving in two runs, and crossing the plate twice. While Colorado reliever Tomoyuki Sugano offered a strong performance, tossing three scoreless innings for the Rockies, the rest of the pitching staff struggled to contain the Giants' persistent offense, allowing the substantial run total.
