San Francisco Giants vs Los Angeles Dodgers — Recap

📰Game Recap

The San Francisco Giants broke open a tie game in the seventh inning and added insurance runs in the ninth to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers. A three-run seventh inning proved decisive, as the Giants never relinquished their lead after that.

Rafael Devers opened the scoring for San Francisco with a solo home run in the second inning. The Dodgers responded in the fourth, taking a 2-1 lead on a single by Muncy that scored Freeman, followed by a double play that allowed another run to cross the plate. San Francisco reclaimed the lead in the sixth inning when Ramos delivered a two-run double, but Muncy tied the game once more with a solo blast in the bottom of the sixth.

The Giants took control of the game in the seventh inning with a three-run rally, which was their largest scoring inning of the day. Devers drew a bases-loaded walk to break the 3-3 tie, bringing home Lee. Willy Adames then followed with a two-run single to right field, scoring Arraez and Schmitt, extending San Francisco's advantage to 6-3. Although Dodgers starter Roki Sasaki pitched five innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out five, the Giants' late-game offense proved too much for the Los Angeles bullpen.

San Francisco continued to build on its lead in the ninth inning, pushing across three more runs to cement the victory. Adames collected his third RBI of the day with another single, followed by a walk to Chapman and a groundout by J. Rodríguez to complete the scoring. Strong plate appearances from Devers, who reached base four times, and Adames, who drove in three runs, highlighted a tenacious offensive effort that ultimately powered the Giants to the win. The Giants improved to 52-73, while the Dodgers fell to 75-52.
