Cleveland Browns vs Chicago Bears — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Chicago Bears overcame an early 10-point deficit to defeat the Cleveland Browns decisively, staging a dominant comeback with 34 unanswered points across the final three quarters. After falling behind midway through the second period, Chicago methodically took control of the contest, highlighted by a relentless offensive and defensive performance that secured a significant victory.

Cleveland initially seized momentum, opening the scoring with an Andre Szmyt 50-yard field goal in the first quarter. Its lead grew to 10-0 early in the second when KC Concepcion rushed for a 14-yard touchdown. The Bears began to chip away, with Tyson Bagent connecting with Maurice Alexander for a 25-yard touchdown pass. Cairo Santos then tied the game at 10 just before halftime with a crucial 51-yard field goal, completely erasing the Browns' early advantage.

Chicago seized complete control in the third quarter, scoring 14 points that decisively shifted the outcome. Quarterback Case Keenum entered the game and quickly found a rhythm, first throwing a 49-yard touchdown pass to Salvon Ahmed to give the Bears their initial lead. He followed that with a 6-yard touchdown toss to Brittain Brown, extending the advantage to 24-10. This surge proved insurmountable, as Cleveland's offense was stifled after its initial burst, unable to score again as Chicago's defense clamped down. The Bears continued to pull away in the fourth quarter, adding a Cairo Santos 49-yard field goal and a Coleman Bennett 3-yard rushing touchdown to seal the commanding win.

Chicago's ability to adjust and find offensive firepower after a sluggish start ultimately defined the game, as their sustained scoring run overwhelmed the Browns. The Bears improved to 2-1 on the season, while the Browns dropped to 1-2.
