Philadelphia Eagles vs Baltimore Ravens — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Baltimore Ravens extended their flawless start to the season, shutting down the Philadelphia Eagles' offense for much of the game before pulling away with a dominant fourth-quarter performance. Baltimore scored 24 unanswered points, including two crucial touchdowns in the final frame, to secure a decisive victory.

After a scoreless opening quarter, the Ravens drew first blood in the second when Joe Fagnano connected with Ja'Kobi Lane for a 16-yard touchdown pass, giving them a 7-0 lead. Kicker Tyler Loop added to that advantage in the third quarter with a 42-yard field goal, stretching Baltimore's lead to 10-0. The Eagles continued to struggle offensively, unable to put points on the board through three quarters of play.

The fourth quarter proved to be the decisive turning point, with the Ravens pouring on 14 additional points to cement their control. Adam Randall found the end zone on a 4-yard rush, further widening the gap. Shortly after, Austin Reed pushed the lead to an insurmountable margin with a 14-yard touchdown run, capping a scoring burst that put the game out of reach. Philadelphia finally broke their scoring drought with a 6-yard touchdown pass from Cole Payton to Erik Ezukanma, but it came too late to alter the outcome. The Ravens' ability to consistently convert opportunities, particularly their late-game offensive surge, contrasted sharply with the Eagles' prolonged struggles to generate points.

Ultimately, the Baltimore Ravens' robust defensive effort, combined with a methodical offensive attack that exploded in the fourth quarter, dictated the contest's trajectory. Their consistent pressure and ability to prevent Philadelphia from gaining any offensive momentum throughout most of the game were the key factors in their triumph. The Ravens improved to 3-0 on the season, while the Eagles dropped to 0-3.
