Cincinnati Reds vs Miami Marlins — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Miami Marlins defeated the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 7-4, largely due to their offense outproducing Cincinnati's lineup and a solid pitching performance from starter Eury Perez.

Early in the contest, Cincinnati's Sal Stewart made a significant impact offensively, connecting for a home run and driving in two runs, while also crossing the plate twice himself. However, Miami's Eury Perez kept the Reds' attack in check through the first five innings, surrendering only two earned runs while striking out six batters.

The Marlins managed to put up seven runs, a total that ultimately outpaced the Reds' four. Perez’s ability to limit damage over his five frames provided a stable foundation, ensuring that Stewart's early contributions for Cincinnati did not put the game out of reach, allowing Miami's bats to take control.

Ultimately, the Marlins' collective offensive effort, combined with their starter's effective outing, secured the win over the Reds. Miami's record now stands at 65-61, while Cincinnati dropped to 59-66.
