Cleveland Guardians vs Seattle Mariners — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-4, primarily fueled by a two-homer performance from outfielder Chase DeLauter that proved pivotal in the victory.

DeLauter was a force at the plate, tallying three hits in total. His two solo blasts contributed two of the Guardians' six runs and accounted for all of his two runs batted in. He also scored three times, further demonstrating his pervasive presence on the basepaths throughout the contest.

While Seattle starter Logan Gilbert delivered a solid outing with seven strikeouts over 5.1 innings, he was charged with three earned runs. DeLauter's power display helped Cleveland overcome Gilbert's effort, as the Guardians found ways to push across enough runs to secure the win. The Mariners' offense, despite plating four runs, couldn't match Cleveland's timely hitting, particularly from DeLauter.

Ultimately, Cleveland's offensive surge, particularly through DeLauter's bat, proved decisive in a tight contest. The Guardians improve to 61-65 on the season, while the Mariners fall to 59-67.
