Each time the Astros threatened to build momentum, Seattle provided another crucial solo shot to keep ahead. Bryan Woo was instrumental for the Mariners, delivering a strong performance over 6.0 innings, striking out five while allowing only two earned runs, effectively stifling Houston’s lineup after each scoring play.

Ultimately, Seattle's consistent, if not explosive, offensive answers combined with stout pitching efforts were enough to hold off the Astros throughout the game. The Mariners now stand at 59-66, while the Astros fell to 63-62.
