Seattle Mariners vs Los Angeles Angels — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Los Angeles Angels secured a 6-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners, driven by a solid offensive performance and a dominant relief outing that stifled Seattle's bats late in the game. The Angels outpaced the Mariners throughout, maintaining control to add another win to their season record.

Los Angeles built a lead that Seattle struggled to overcome, with the Mariners' offense largely contained to just two runs. Luis Suisbel accounted for one of Seattle's runs, connecting for a solo home run as part of his lone hit of the contest.

A pivotal factor in the Angels' victory was the performance of reliever Walbert Urena, who delivered three hitless innings. Urena struck out four batters and allowed no earned runs, effectively shutting down the Mariners' lineup during his appearance and preserving the Angels' advantage.

Ultimately, the Angels' ability to generate offense while leaning on strong bullpen work proved decisive, ensuring they held off any late-game surge from the Mariners. The Angels now hold a 50-76 record, while the Mariners fall to 59-67 on the season.
