Tampa Bay Rays vs Milwaukee Brewers — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Tampa Bay Rays secured a narrow 3-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday, overcoming a stellar outing from Milwaukee starter Kyle Harrison and a two-run homer from William Contreras to claim the road win.

Milwaukee initially took an early lead when William Contreras connected for a two-run home run, providing both of the Brewers' runs in the tightly contested matchup. However, the Rays' offense methodically pushed across runs, ultimately tallying three to surpass Milwaukee’s output.

Kyle Harrison was dominant for the Brewers, fanning eight batters over five strong innings while surrendering only one earned run. His performance kept Tampa Bay in check for much of his outing, but the Rays found their rhythm against the relief corps, plating two additional runs after Harrison exited the game to complete their comeback.

Ultimately, the Rays' ability to generate offense beyond Milwaukee's impressive starting effort proved to be the difference, as they overcame the home run power of Contreras and the stellar pitching of Harrison. The Tampa Bay Rays improved their record to 75-49 with the victory, while the Milwaukee Brewers now stand at 77-49.
