Minnesota Twins vs Baltimore Orioles — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Minnesota Twins defeated the Baltimore Orioles 4-1, riding a dominant performance from starting pitcher Taj Bradley and a crucial two-run home run from Royce Lewis. This decisive blow by Lewis broke a tie game, providing the narrow margin of victory for the visiting team.

Scoring was scarce for much of the contest, reflecting the strong pitching on both sides. Minnesota initially took a one-run lead early in the game, but Baltimore managed to equalize later. It was a tightly contested affair until the Twins broke through again, turning a narrow advantage into a more comfortable cushion.

Taj Bradley's stellar outing proved pivotal, as he limited the Orioles to just one earned run across 4.1 innings while striking out nine batters. This performance kept the game within reach for the Twins, setting the stage for Lewis. His two-run home run, which also saw him score, accounted for the Twins' largest scoring play of the game and gave them a lead they would not relinquish, proving to be the difference maker in the low-scoring contest.

Ultimately, the combination of Bradley's strong command on the mound and Lewis's timely power surge allowed Minnesota to control the game and secure the win. The Twins improved their record to 61-65, while the Orioles now stand at 61-64.
