Los Angeles Dodgers vs Milwaukee Brewers — Recap

📰Game Recap

The Los Angeles Dodgers overcame an early three-run deficit, unleashing a powerful offensive display spearheaded by Teoscar Hernandez, to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers 11-3. Despite trailing from the first inning, Los Angeles steadily chipped away before a series of late-game scoring bursts secured a commanding victory.

The Brewers began the game by quickly taking a lead in the bottom of the first, with Brice Turang doubling home Jackson Chourio before scoring himself on a throwing error. Sal Frelick then singled to center, driving in Christian Yelich and giving Milwaukee an early 3-0 advantage. The Dodgers responded in the top of the fourth, as James Outman doubled in Freddie Freeman, setting the stage for Teoscar Hernandez to launch a 357-foot home run to left, bringing home Outman and Gavin Lux and giving Los Angeles a 4-3 lead.

The decisive turning point for the Dodgers came in the fourth inning when Hernandez's three-run blast put them ahead, but their relentless offense solidified the win with seven additional runs across the eighth and ninth innings. Los Angeles scored three runs in the eighth on an RBI single from Will Smith, another from Hernandez, and a sacrifice bunt by Chris Taylor. They then exploded for four more in the ninth, with Hernandez driving in two more runs, followed by RBI doubles from Miguel Vargas and Shohei Ohtani.

Ultimately, the Dodgers' persistent and timely hitting, particularly from Teoscar Hernandez who finished with six RBIs, proved too much for the Brewers to contain, transforming an early deficit into a lopsided victory. The Dodgers now stand at 75-51, while the Brewers' record moves to 77-49.
