๐Ÿ“ฐGame Recap

The Los Angeles Angels secured a victory over the Texas Rangers, utilizing a consistent offensive effort and a late two-run single to maintain their advantage. Establishing an early lead, they never relinquished it, stifling the Rangers' attempts to mount a significant rally. Mike Trout opened the scoring for the Angels in the bottom of the first inning with a 411-foot home run to center field, bringing Neto across the plate for two runs. Texas responded in the second when Duran hit a sacrifice fly to center, allowing Osuna to score and cutting the deficit. The Angels extended their lead in the fifth inning on a double to right field by Schanuel, scoring Neto. Higashioka then cut the deficit back to one run for the Rangers in the top of the seventh with a 395-foot solo home run to center. Despite Nathan Eovaldi's solid outing for Texas, pitching seven innings and striking out six while allowing three earned runs, the Rangers' offense failed to generate sustained pressure beyond individual plays. The critical blow came in the bottom of the eighth inning when Peraza singled to left field. This hit drove in both Adell and Soler, stretching the Angels' lead to three runs and putting the game out of reach. While Higashioka's solo shot briefly made it a one-run game, Peraza's late heroics ensured the Angels maintained control and created separation. Ultimately, the Angels' ability to consistently plate runs, even if just one at a time, combined with their timely two-run rally in the eighth, proved too much for the Rangers' bats to overcome. The Los Angeles Angels improved their record to 50-76, while the Texas Rangers fell to 61-65.
