The Arizona Diamondbacks completed an unlikely comeback against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night, rallying from an early three-run deficit to secure a 5-3 road victory. Arizona broke a 3-3 tie in the sixth inning, taking the lead on a bases-loaded single and later adding an insurance run to hold off the favored Dodgers.

Los Angeles initially seized control of the contest. Shohei Ohtani launched a 437-foot solo home run in the first inning to put the Dodgers on the board. Ohtani was instrumental again in the third, scoring along with Pages on an Edman single to extend Los Angeles' advantage to three runs. The Diamondbacks began to chip away in the fifth inning when Arenado doubled home Vargas, followed by Waldschmidt's sacrifice fly that brought in Arenado, cutting the deficit to 3-2.

The decisive turn came in the top of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. grounded into a fielder's choice, but a critical throwing error by third baseman Muncy allowed Perdomo to score the tying run. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. reached on the play, and Moreno advanced to third, setting the stage for Vargas to single to right, plating Moreno and putting the Diamondbacks ahead for the first time. Despite Emmet Sheehan's solid 5.1 innings for the Dodgers, allowing only one earned run and striking out seven, the defensive miscue proved costly.

Arizona's ability to capitalize on Los Angeles' defensive lapse, combined with timely hitting, allowed the underdog Diamondbacks to secure the road victory. Dominic Tawa's solo home run in the ninth provided extra cushion. The Diamondbacks improved to 63-55, while the Dodgers fell to 69-48.
