Smith's fielder's choice brought home Albies, capping a dominant rally that shifted the momentum entirely. Bryce Elder delivered a solid performance on the mound for Atlanta, pitching 6.2 innings and striking out six while allowing three earned runs.
Ultimately, Atlanta's powerful lineup overwhelmed Washington with a sustained offensive attack after initially falling behind, showcasing their ability to come from behind. The Braves improved to 75-51, while the Nationals fell to 60-67.
