๐Ÿ“ฐGame Recap

The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Texas Rangers, holding off a significant comeback attempt thanks to a dominant offensive start and timely power hitting in the later innings. The Angels jumped out to an early lead, with Zach Neto homering in the bottom of the first inning. Later in the frame, Meckler added a three-run blast to give Los Angeles a four-run cushion. The offensive surge continued in the third when O'Hoppe's two-run single extended the lead to 6-0. Texas began to chip away in the fourth, as Nimmo hit a solo home run, followed by Carter's two-run triple. Foscue singled home another run in the sixth, making it a 6-4 game, and Nimmo's RBI double in the seventh further narrowed the gap to a single run. Crucially, the Angels' offense responded to the Rangers' rally in the late innings. After Texas cut the lead to 6-5, Peraza launched a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to provide some breathing room. Zach Neto delivered his second homer of the game in the eighth, a solo shot to left center, extending the lead once more. Schanuel then singled home an additional run in the same inning, pushing the score to 9-5 and effectively sealing the victory before Jansen's solo homer in the ninth for the Rangers. Los Angeles' ability to answer the Rangers' comeback efforts with timely power bats proved decisive, preventing Texas from fully closing the gap. The Angels now hold a 50-76 record, while the Rangers fell to 61-65.
