The turning point arrived in the pivotal fifth inning, as the Orioles unleashed a three-run rally. After Taveras launched a 416-foot solo home run to extend Baltimore's lead, Coby Mayo stepped up and blasted a 390-foot, two-run shot to left center, scoring Holliday and pushing the Orioles ahead 7-3.
