πŸ“°Game Recap

The Cincinnati Reds pulled off a late comeback against the Minnesota Twins, scoring three unanswered runs in the final three innings to secure a narrow 5-4 victory.

Minnesota established an early lead in the bottom of the first inning when Jeffers tripled to center, driving in Martin and Bell. Cincinnati responded in the second with a sacrifice fly from Tyler Stephenson that brought Stewart home. The Twins extended their advantage in the third after Keaschall singled to right, scoring Martin. Stephenson continued to contribute for the Reds in the fourth, singling to left to plate SuΓ‘rez. After Lee's single in the fifth allowed Bell to score, the Twins held a 4-2 lead.

Despite Minnesota's early advantage, the Reds systematically chipped away at the deficit. They began their rally in the seventh inning when De La Cruz singled to left, bringing Hinds across the plate. An eighth-inning sacrifice into a double play by Hinds surprisingly proved productive, as SuΓ‘rez scored to tie the game at 4-4. This persistent offensive effort culminated in the top of the ninth when Myers singled to center, driving in Steer to give Cincinnati its first lead of the game.

The Reds' ability to manufacture runs in three consecutive innings, patiently erasing an early deficit, ultimately defined the contest. Their steady approach at the plate proved too much for the Twins to contain, allowing Cincinnati to complete the comeback. The Reds now stand at 60-65, while the Twins fall to 60-66.
