Michael Harris II delivered a crucial blow, a 421-foot three-run homer to right field that brought Olson and Albies home. Moments later, Jarvis singled again, driving in Dubón for his second RBI of the game and pushing the lead to 6-1. Starter Bryce Elder delivered a solid performance for the Braves, allowing just one earned run over six innings and striking out three, effectively silencing the Nationals’ bats through the heart of the game. Although Chaparro added a solo home run for Washington in the ninth, it proved to be a consolation.
