Warren was lights out on the mound for the Yankees, pitching 6.2 innings, striking out seven batters, and ultimately allowing no earned runs, marking him as the game's top pitching performance.

Ultimately, two solo home runs were enough to carry the underdog Yankees to victory. The combination of Rosario and Jones's long balls, coupled with Warren's masterful outing that completely stifled the Cubs' offense, allowed New York to secure a crucial road win and upset the favored Chicago squad.
