πŸ“°Game Recap

The Toronto Blue Jays completed a dramatic comeback against the Baltimore Orioles, erasing a five-run deficit to secure a 6-5 victory. After falling behind early, Toronto's offense ignited in the later innings, propelled by a four-run rally in the seventh and the go-ahead runs in the eighth.

Baltimore built its initial lead steadily, starting with two runs in the third inning when Rutschman walked with the bases loaded to score Holliday, followed by Samuel Basallo’s sacrifice fly that brought Ward home. Holliday then extended the lead with a solo home run in the fourth. The Orioles continued their power surge in the fifth, as Alonso and Basallo each hit solo shots, pushing Baltimore's advantage to 5-0.

The Blue Jays began their charge in the top of the seventh. Okamoto connected for a two-run home run, also scoring Guerrero Jr., to get Toronto on the board. Just moments later, Mcadoo followed suit with another two-run blast that brought Varsho across the plate, trimming the deficit to a single run. The pivotal moment arrived in the eighth inning when Guerrero Jr. lined a two-run double to left, scoring Clement and Springer, which gave Toronto its first lead of the game at 6-5.

Ultimately, the Blue Jays' persistent offense and timely power hitting proved too much for the Orioles to contain in the latter half of the game, allowing them to overcome an early five-run hole. The Blue Jays now stand at 62-65, while the Orioles' record falls to 61-64.
