Miguel Vargas, who was the top offensive performer on the day, initiated the late-game surge with his second RBI double, scoring Meidroth and extending the lead to 6-3. Acuña followed with a two-run single, plating Murakami and Vargas, before Grichuk tripled to left, bringing Acuña home. B. Montgomery then put the final exclamation mark on the scoring with an RBI double, driving in Grichuk and setting the final score at 10-3. Vargas finished his stellar outing with three hits, two RBIs, and two runs scored, leading the underdog White Sox to a dominant road victory.
